Most of us put off cleaning something because it seems like too much work. And cleaning your garage door windows just sounds stressful. Thankfully, our garage door manufacturer Clopay doesn’t like stress, either. If you have a Clopay door, you can clean your windows in just three easy steps!
Step 1: Removing window inserts.
Find the tabs around each of the snap-out window inserts. There should be four of them around each window insert. Remove them and pull the insert out of the window.
Step 2: Cleaning windows.
Rinse with a little bit of warm water to get rid of dirt and grime, then use a mild dishwashing soap and a soft cloth or sponge to gently wash your windows. Clopay recommends not using any harsh solvent-based cleaners like ammonia, since they can damage the quality and insulation of your windows.
Step 3: Putting window inserts back in.
Put the four tabs from each window insert under the lip of the frame when you go to put them back in. Refer back to the manual if you need any help.
Super easy, and no stress required. And with the weather getting nicer, now is a great time to get started. Of course, there are a few special cases when it comes to cleaning your garage door windows. If that’s you, check out this blog.
